[Case Example] Natural Vegetation (Soil Conservation)

Adopted for the purpose of protecting granite soil slopes, which are easily erosed. A case of protecting the slopes around the sediment control dam.

This is a case where our Erosion Control Mat was used to protect the slopes around a sediment control dam. Since there was a desire for landscape restoration by local vegetation, the 'Type SP' was selected. In areas with gentle slopes, it was anticipated that the large surface area would catch rainfall, causing rainwater to accumulate and flow down, which raised concerns about erosion, so it was installed accordingly. [Case Overview] ■ Installation Location: Hiroshima Prefecture ■ Product Used: Erosion Control Mat "Type SP-45" ■ Installation Details - Adopted to protect the easily eroded sandy soil (decomposed granite soil) slopes - Installed in conjunction due to increased concerns about erosion even in gentle slope areas *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. Double-walled drainage pipe "MT Pipe"

The drainage efficiency is about seven times that of conventional types! It forcibly captures groundwater, enabling reliable drainage.

The "MT Pipe" is a double-structured collection pipe designed to enhance the effectiveness of groundwater drainage work (dewatering boring). With expandable rubber packers installed every 2 meters, it traps the emerging groundwater, forcibly draws it into the pipe through slits in the outer pipe, and discharges it without loss. Since all processing of the outer pipe, inner pipe, and collection socket is done at the factory, only the assembly work of screwing the pipes together is required on-site, making installation easy. Our company also offers many other products related to environmental disaster prevention. 【Features】 ■ Forcibly captures groundwater emerging from the borehole walls ■ Discharges the captured groundwater without loss ■ Structure that is resistant to clogging ■ Completely factory-processed product for easy installation *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Landslide prevention case study by "Unit Net" 1

This is an example of preventing slope collapse in advance with "Unit Net," which balances slope stabilization and the conservation of the natural environment.

Mikune District, Sayō Town, Sayō County, Hyōgo Prefecture ◆ Damage from Typhoon No. 23 in 2004 In response to the damage caused by Typhoon No. 23 in 2004, "unit nets" were adopted at planned locations for the restoration of windfall trees and slope collapses, and construction was sequentially ordered based on the plan. ◆ Damage from Typhoon No. 9 in 2009 While construction was progressing sequentially for restoration measures, we were hit by damage from Typhoon No. 9 in 2009. Slope collapses occurred in surrounding areas, centered around the restoration plan area. Although there were still unaddressed areas within the restoration plan that experienced slope collapses, the adjacent area where "unit nets" had been installed was able to prevent collapses. There were houses below the slopes, but thanks to the installation of "unit nets," safety was successfully maintained. ● For more details, please download the materials.

Landslide prevention case study by "Unit Net" 2

Conditions during heavy rain disasters at unit net construction sites.

Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Haki Hoshimaru, Shimizu Moto District From July 5 to 6, 2017, due to the inflow of warm and very humid air towards the stationary rainy front near the Tsushima Strait, a linear precipitation zone was formed and maintained, resulting in extremely heavy rain in the same location. This led to record-breaking rainfall in the northern Kyushu region and caused a heavy rain disaster. In Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture, where this heavy rain disaster occurred, unit nets were adopted and constructed in 2014 as part of a steep slope collapse prevention project. You can view the situation near the unit net construction site immediately after the disaster on the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan's YouTube account. The back side of the three-story building (elementary school) shown around 1:40 in the video below is the site where the unit net method was implemented. Despite numerous landslides occurring in the surrounding mountains, the area where the unit net method was applied did not experience any landslides. For more details, please refer to our company's website column and materials (available for download below).

Power Net Method

Introduction to construction methods that can handle collapses with a presumed slip layer thickness of 1.5m or less as the standard.

This technology is a method to prevent overall landslides that occur across the entire surface layer of a slope, as well as localized collapses that occur within a narrow range between full-threaded deformed steel nails (hereinafter referred to as "nails"). It consists of an effective assembly of components against surface layer collapses by connecting and combining high-strength wire mesh, nails, spike plates, and other materials. There are two types of methods: one that addresses surface sliding using wire mesh and another that addresses falling stones and floating rocks using spider nets. 【Features】 ■ Designed to respond to collapses with an assumed sliding layer thickness of 1.5m or less ■ Effective component configuration against surface layer collapses *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
